A superb Walker Evans photograph taken in Birmingham Alabama in 1936. He left college early preferring reading and New York and returned to his childhood passion for photography, taking government paid jobs documenting the effect of the Depression on farm workers across the USA. Later he gained control of the publication and editing side and gained huge respect from all in his field.
